Peeper Perfect from Winky Lux is a solid concealer for under eyes and blemishes. It brightens and provides high coverage, while wearing with minimal creasing (when set with a powder).

Perfect your peepers with this under eye concealer from Winky Lux.
Winky Lux is a super cute, fun brand. I’ve dabbled in their products before, and one I quite enjoyed was the Peeper Perfect Concealer. For me, a concealer needs to hide my tired eyes and dark circles, not crease or settle, and make me look wide awake. And, this one fit the bill. I will say, it requires a little bit of working with (AKA setting powder) and isn’t one you can apply and leave on its own. But, it is a beautiful formula that gives beautiful results. Keep scrolling for my un-sugar coated thoughts on Peeper Perfect.
Promises vs. Performance: Wow! This concealer really brightened my under eyes!
Peeper Perfect from Winky Lux is marketed as an under eye concealer, but it also conceals blemishes and other imperfections. It promises to work for all skin types, wearing all day long with no creasing. Winky Lux promises this concealer formula will blend effortless into skin, with much thanks to ingredients such as collagen, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin E. Because of this, you can expect a wide awake looking under eye area that is brightened and concealed. Peeper Perfect is best applied with fingertips according to the brand, as this method warms it up. They say a little bit goes a long way with this ultra creamy formula.
I’ve tried Peeper Perfect two ways: as an eyeshadow base and under eye concealer. As an eyeshadow base, it holds my shadows on all day long without creasing or fading. I always prime my eyelids to neutralize any discoloration (anyone else in the veiny eyelid camp?) and to help my shadows adhere better and last longer. I have to say, it meets my expectations for that.
Now, as a concealer: I’m impressed. The formula is creamy as Winky Lux promised and a little bit goes a long way! Applying Peeper Perfect is effortless, though I do prefer to use a brush instead of the fingertips like Winky Lux suggests. It blends in easily and gives a bright, yet concealed under eye area. It’s a bit more of a wet formula, definitely one that you need to set, which is what I always do. And, that is the perfect move as it results in a concealed under eye area that lasts all day. I don’t get much creasing or settling with this combination.
Quick Rating Rundown
:Winky Lux Peeper Perfect Concealer
How It Compares: Winky Lux Peeper Perfect surprised me with how much I enjoyed it.
As claimed, Peeper Perfect effortlessly conceals my dark circles and gives me a bright, wide awake look. As it wears throughout the day, I experience little to no creasing or settling. I will say, I think this is mostly due to a setting powder as the formula is a bit more wet and tacky – and one I definitely recommend setting. And, it even works well as an eyeshadow primer. I feel like that’s always a good test for a concealer: Will it hold eyeshadow on all day with no creasing? Well, this one passed the primer test, and the concealer test!
Which is better?
Let’s compare it to what I think is the drugstore concealer standard, Maybelline Instant Age Rewind (rated ****4.1). What both do great is this: brighten, conceal, and last all day. Where they differ is Winky Lux’s Peeper Perfect Concealer provides more coverage that I can use all over my face. Instant Age Rewind’s packaging also isn’t my favorite. the wind-up, sponge tip applicator can be messy and it gets cakey with product super fast.
What I will say is this: I think both are stunning formulas. Instant Age Rewind from Maybelline is a tried and true classic that we all know and love. If you’re looking for something new, I’d check out Peeper Perfect from Winky Lux! It’s texture makes it perfect for more mature skin, too.
Milabu Beauty Method: Winky Lux recommends blending with fingers, but I find a brush works best.
- Squeeze a tiny amount (barely even a pea sized) on the back of your hand. This will be plenty for under both eyes and any blemishes!
- Using your finger, apply the concealer on any trouble areas: under the eyes, any blemishes, redness, or discoloration.
- Take your favorite concealer brush (mine is this one from Rare Beauty, $16), and gently blend out the concealer.
- Because this concealer is so creamy, I find that I do need to set it to keep it from moving around and creasing. Coty Airspun ($5.79) is a classic drugstore setting powder that works both to set and as a baking powder.
