Wet n Wild MegaLast Incognito All-Day Full Coverage Concealer: Mega long lasting concealer with incognito coverage.
In terms of claims, the name says it all. This concealer is supposed to have mega, all day lasting power. As the name suggests, it’s supposed to work incognito, covering imperfections without ever being detectable. And, at under $6 a tube, this Wet n Wild concealer is super affordable. Will it live up to its name and be everything we all want in a concealer and more? In terms of covering dark circles and eye primer performance, I got you with an in-depth test and review coming right up. Let’s dive into Wet n Wild Incognito Concealer Review.
Promises vs. Performance: This full coverage concealer conceals darkness and redness.
MegaLast Concealer claims to be a matte, buildable medium to full coverage product that easily covers darkness and blemishes. It also claims to be ultra long lasting, for all day wear. This concealer contains hydrating ingredients, like shea butter, licorice root extract, and mango seed butter. It’s seamlessly blendable, richly pigmented, and also great for highlighting and contouring.
My Review Thoughts: Wet n Wild Incognito Concealer
When I tested this Wet n Wild concealer, I tried it for two different uses. I first applied it to my eyelids as an eye primer for the Milani Gilded Terra Eyeshadow Palette ($19.99). I picked this concealer up in shade Light Beige, which was a little to yellow for my skin tone (and there’s only 21 shades, so color matching may be difficult). Placing one dot on each of my lids, I then smoothed it on with a concealer brush. Right away, this product concealed my redness and darkness. It felt a little tacky after applying, but still felt nice and smooth. I also used this concealer to create a cut crease look, layering a green shimmer eyeshadow on top. It worked great for that, too. After the day wear test, my eyeshadows still looked as stunning as first applied. No creasing or smudging!
Then, after I had applied my face base, I used this Wet n Wild concealer under my eyes. It gave me good coverage and a matte finish. My dark circles were completely covered. After the day wear test, this concealer looked a little cracked under my eyes. I do think it would perform better if set with a powder. But even without, it was still pretty long lasting. You’ll just have to tap it a bit to blend it back down to the skin, which is something I typically do anyway.
How It Compares: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind is the industry standard drugstore concealer.
This Wet n Wild concealer performed pretty well. This concealer can be built up to a good coverage, concealing dark circles and it does have longevity. I especially liked using it as an eyeshadow base as it fully neutralized my eyelids and held my eye look on all day long. That’s a huge win in my book! But, there’s another concealer at the drugstore I think may deserve a bit more attention. It’s Maybelline Instant Age Rewind always covers my dark circles, and it sets to a beautiful natural finish without creasing or cracking. It’s the one of the best concealers I’ve found at the drugstore that is always a trusty reliable.
“If you’re looking for the best drugstore concealer for dark circles, I believe it’s Instant Age Rewind Concealer by Maybelline New York. In my experience, for just under $10 this concealer competes in coverage with high end best sellers. It smooths the eye area with lightweight, opaque pigment, diffusing the look of lines and erasing darkness.”Milabu
Milabu Beauty Method: Applying this Wet n Wild concealer to eyelids and under eyes.
I used this concealer on both my eyelids and my under eyes. Follow these steps for these two different applications.
Eyelids:
- Place one dot of product onto the center of lids with provided doe foot applicator.
- Use a concealer brush to blend into eyelids from the outer corner to the inner corner. (I recommend using this brush by Rare Beauty, $16).
- After allowing it to dry down slightly, create your eyeshadow look on top. This concealer may still feel tacky when applying.
Under eyes:
- Place one dot beneath the inner corner and one beneath the outer corner.
- Using a concealer brush, blend under eyes with small strokes, bringing into the inner corner and out further than the outer corner.
- To make sure it’s blended into your face base, take a concealer sponge and tap under eyes, bringing it below where the concealer was placed. If you prefer a brush, the same Rare Beauty one I mentioned above works great!
