UOMA Beauty Hydroblast Powder is fascinating.
I don’t know about y’all, but I’m definitely intrigued by this UOMA Beauty Powder that is 52% water and mattifies the skin. How is that even possible?! UOMA Hydroblast is a unique formula that is said to give a cooling sensation, matte finish, and soft focus effect. Let’s see how this highly rated powder performs.
Promises vs. Performance: The formula is water-based, yet it mattifies.
UOMA Beauty Hydroblast Powder is unique with its 52% water formula that mattifies the skin. The ultra-fine loose powder has a cooling effect on skin and a soft focus, blurred finish. It’s also infused with 5% niacinamide to help protect against environmental stressors, fight blemishes, and smooth skin along with hyaluronic acid to help plump and firm skin. It’s supposed to mattify, yet never dry out skin while controlling shine. Will it do what it says?
The UOMA Beaty Hydroblast Powder powder is fascinating. In the packaging, you can literally see the water which is crazy to me. When applied, a little goes a long way and it instantly softens the skin. It doesn’t do any crazy burring, but it has a beautiful soft focus effect. The powder really does feel cooling on the skin, which is going to be perfect for summertime!
It’s not the longest wearing, but it touches up well. Even with being a water-based formula, it doesn’t lend itself to too much makeup separating, and it does control shine as promised.
Note: UOMA Beauty states this powder is not suitable for under eye baking because when the water activates, it will darken concealer.

How It Compares: What’s the best setting powder?
UOMA Beauty Hydroblast is one of the more unique setting powders I’ve tried. I’m happy to report it does what it claims and is actually stunning on the skin. The cooling sensation is a nice touch, especially on hot summer days. It’s soft focus, airbrushed effect is beautiful, and it takes the smallest amount of product to set. Even better, it looks undetectable on the skin.
Whether loose powder or pressed powder, there’s tons of options out there. And good options too. Below are just a few of our favorites. Visit our MILABU PICKS Article ‘The Best Setting Powder‘ for even more powders (and sprays!) we love.
