Tarte Breezy Cream Blush is a no frills cream formula.
Cream blush can be intimidating – trust me, I know. Typically more pigmented and more intense, they’re usually not the go-to formula for many blush wearers. But, cream blushes often give the most natural, flushed cheek looks. If you’re looking for an easy to apply, no frills cream blush, I’ve got you. Tarte SEA Breezy Cream Blush is just that. The silky formula is super blendable and forgiving in color, perfect for those new to cream complexion enhancers.
Quick Rating Rundown
Promises vs. Performance: Tarte SEA Breezy Cream Blush gives a fresh, youthful look.
Tarte SEA Breezy Cream Blush promises a “just pinched” cheek color that wears without fading. The creamy formula applies like silk, smoothing and hydrating skin with what Tarte calls “slip grip technology.” This technology is a combination of marine plants that reduce fine lines and smooth skin, nourishing coconut, and hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump. SEA Breezy Cream Blush has a buildable texture that blends seamlessly, helping to minimize the look of fine lines and pores.
This is not your intense, ultra pigmented cream blush. It is, however, soft, creamy, and super blendable. The colors look way more intense in the compact than they do when you apply them to your cheeks. With a brush, SEA Breezy Blush blends in easily and seamless, leaving behind no harsh lines as Tarte promised. It blends in very easily and can be layered for additional pigment. This Tarte blush formula isn’t patchy or streaky, and doesn’t cling to dryness or texture with no settling into pores and lines. It sort of reminds me of a cream-to-powder formula, as it gives a natural finish. This blush does set down pretty well, but it isn’t the longest wearing. I’d say it wears really well for the first 7 or 8 hours, but after that it can start fading away.
How Tarte Breezy Cream Blush Compares: This is your standard cream blush formula.
I think Tarte SEA Breezy Cream Blush is the perfect starter cream blush. To me, they remind me of a cream-to-powder formula and are pretty fail proof. The pigment goes on soft, but can be built up for a more intense look. It’s easy to apply, blendable, and doesn’t accentuate any imperfections, texture, lines, or pores. But, there are better cream formulas out there than this Tarte blush.
ROSE INC Blush Divine is easily one of the best formulas I have ever tried and is one of my holy grails. The creamy formula easily blends into cheeks with fingers or a brush, providing a the most healthy, radiant flush of color. It never accentuates any imperfections, from dryness to texture and never settles into lines or pores. Blush Divine applies beautifully over any base, whether cream or powder, without disrupting the makeup underneath.
