Sephora Brow Gel: Lock your brows in place all day long.

Brow gels are one of those products that you know almost instantly if they’re going to be good or not. For me to even consider a brow gel as decent, it has to pass the five minute test. If it can’t hold my brows in place for even five minutes, it’s probably not going to be a winner. Sephora has a clear eyebrow gel in their branded line, which I tried out during a wear test for the Milabu Channel (subscribe here). Did Sephora Clear Brow Gel pass the five minutes test? Promises vs. Performance: It says it gives a hardened effect, so is it comfortable to wear?

The description of this brow gel is very simple on Sephora’s website. Clear Brow Gel is made to set and tame unruly brows for an all day wear. It features a tapered brush that easily combs through brows. The result is “a healthy, brushed-up, finished look.”

My Review Thoughts: Sephora Clear Eyebrow Gel

This is your average brow gel. It isn’t anything spectacular, but it also isn’t bad. It separated the brows, giving them the feathered look that Sephora claimed it would. But, it did keep my brows comfortably in place for the majority of the day so that’s a pro!

How It Compares: This is just your basic brow gel.

As part of this review let’s compare Sephora Clear Eyebrow Gel to top competitors. Like I said, this clear eyebrow gel isn’t anything amazing. Is it good? Sure. Is it the best? I think there’s better out there in the value price range that do a bit more. For a drugstore brow gel, I would check out NYX’s lineup. It performs better overall and is a bit more wowing than Sephora Clear Brow Gel.

Milabu Beauty Method: No-makeup makeup brows.

Is it just me, or do tamed brows just make you feel like you have your life together? Styling your brows can make your no makeup days a bit more elevated and put together.

1. First fill in any sparse areas to give a bit more defined brow look. One of my all time favorite brow pencils is Benefit Precisely, My Brow ($24). Feel free to skip this step if you don’t want to fill in your brows.
2. Comb the brow gel through your brows in an upward motion to fluff brows. Begin at the front of your brow and work your way to the tail.
