Meet rms Eyelights: the longest lasting cream eyeshadow I’ve discovered.
Cream eyeshadows are perfect for a one and done shadow look. My personal favorite are glitter cream eyeshadows that you can wear on their own or layered. I’ve tested a lot of glitter cream eyeshadows over the year and I think I’ve finally found one of the best: rms Eyelights. This cream eyeshadow formula has no fallout, is no budge, and has a high shine finish. It’s safe to say I love everything about it.
Promises vs. Performance: No eye primer necessary for all day, creaseproof wear.
rms Eyelights Cream Eyeshadow claims creaseproof all day wear. Eyelights comes in 6 metallic, buildable shades for subtle daytime looks or dramatic nighttime eyes. The formula is infused with organic green tea and natural peptide quinoa that nourish and smooth the delicate eye area with each wear. Each package comes with a reusable metal key that attaches to the end of the tube to twist and press every last bit of product out (but, be careful! The product squeezes out with barely any pressure.). These foolproof eye colors are ophthalmologist tested, non GMO, as well as free of parabens, gluten, nanoparticles, phthalates, and sulfates.
What I love most about Eyelights is how easy they are. They don’t require an eye primer, but do layer well over one if you choose. You can use your fingers or a brush depending how fancy you’re feeling. For me, my favorite way to apply is first laying the pigment down with a flat shader brush (Sephora PRO #15 works great). Then, I take a blender brush to soften the edges. This is a fast setting formula, so I do recommend working one eye at a time for best results. But, the pro of the fast setting formula is a no budge, creaseproof, fade proof, fallout free wear. When rms says all day wear, they really do mean it! From application to removal, my eyes have that foiled, wet eye look free of creasing, settling, and fading.
Quick Rating Rundown
How It Compares: rms Eyelights sets a new standard for metallic cream eyeshadow.
Enough said – these babies are gorgeous. Some could see it as a con that they only come in a metallic finish, but that’s what makes rms Eyelights so stunning. Their metallic finish gives eyes a foiled, wet look with mega shine and luminosity. The texture is buildable whether you’re after a subtle daytime look or dramatic look for nighttime. But, the best part of these cream eyeshadows is the long wearing formula. Eyelights have a creaseproof, budge proof, fade proof, all day wear. Just know that this does come with a caveat: they set fast, so it’s best to work one eye at a time. Next time you’re browsing the Sephora or Credo website, add one of these to your cart. They’re the perfect addition to any eye look or perfect to wear on their own!
rms Eyelights joins other beloved glitter eyeshadow formulas, from Stila to the coveted Euphoria glitter from Lemonhead L.A. What makes Eyelights different from these is that they are metallic creams – not a clear base of liquid glitter like Stila Glitter & Glow or Spacepaste from Lemonhead L.A. Think of these faves as ‘glitter toppers,’ the perfect addition to any eye look. If you want that true one and done eye look, rms Eyelights are perfect for that.
Milabu Beauty Method: Want that wet eye look?
- No primer required with rms Eyelights. Using the back of your hand as a canvas, squeeze out a tiny amount of product.
- Take a flat shader brush (like the Sephora PRO #15) and place the eye color on your eyelid starting at the lash line and stopping at the crease.
- Using a fluffy blender brush, diffuse the edges blending into the crease to ensure no harsh lines.
- Layer more product using the method above or your finger for more intensity.
