ONE/SIZE Cheek Clapper is a versatile, easy to use blush palette.
First, I want to shout-out Cheek Clapper for being fragrance free! Some of the ONE/SIZE products are fragranced, which I don’t love, so I appreciate that this one/size blush has no scent. I also love the versatility of this blush palette. It includes three monochromatic colors that can be worn alone or together for a plethora of cheek looks. That makes it perfect for travel, too! I know I always want to pack multiple blush colors and this one gives me three in one convenient palette.
Now, let’s get into what everyone’s waiting for: the application and wear test!
Promises vs. Performance: Intense pigment with multiple ways to wear.
ONE/SIZE Cheek Clapper is a blush palette comprised of two pressed powders and a cream formula, made to mix and match for custom cheek looks. According to the product claims, each formula delivers a unique look. The ‘flex cream’ can be worn alone or layered above or below the powders. Next, the ‘full impact matte’ is blurring and buildable and, again, can be worn alone or layered. Then, the ‘hyper sheen,’ designed or an eye-catching glow, giving a seamless finish. Each is intensely pigmented on their own as well as long wearing. Cheek Clapper includes a ‘long wear texture-solving ingredient,’ aka dragon fruit extract, which helps grip and extend wear.
Patrick Starrr gives a few application methods on the ONE/SIZE website for how to achieve a low, medium, or high impact cheek look. I like to apply this palette how they suggest for medium impact: cream, matte blush, cheek topper. The cream blush applies very easily with a dense brush (I use the IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Brush, $49). The pigment is pigmented, but it is very buildable. You can pick up a tiny bit of product for a light wash of color or really pack it on for a bold pop. Then, I used the same brush to tap on the matte blush shade over top. This gave my cheeks a beautiful airbrushed finish that wasn’t too matte or too glowy. To top off my cheeks, I added the cheek topper ‘hyper sheen’ over top, focusing this one on the tops of my cheekbones.
No patchy blush here! The three formulas apply seamlessly without disrupting any makeup underneath. They don’t settle into fine lines or pores, or accentuate texture. Cheek Clapper is long wearing and my cheek color stayed vivid all day long without any fading.

How It Compares: This blush palette is a winner.
When it comes to versatile an easy to use blush palette, ONE/SIZE Cheek Clapper has it on lock. The blush palette includes three different shades in cream and powder formulas. What’s nice about these is they can worn alone or layered with each other for multiple cheek looks. The formulas are pigmented and blendable, perfect for creating low impact cheeks or vivid pops of color. They sweep and apply seamlessly over any makeup, without accentuating imperfections like texture, pores, or lines. And if you need your blush to last all day, Cheek Clapper’s got your back. The formulas are infused with dragon fruit extract for gripping, long wear.
How do these formulas compare to the industry standard cream and powder blush formulas? When it comes to cream, my favorite is ROSE INC Blush Divine. The creamy formula blends easily and it never accentuates imperfections. Then, we have powder blush, and NARS takes the reign as the standard. NARS Blush has 26 shades with matte and shimmer finishes, similar to the powders in Cheek Clapper. They’re just as pigmented, buildable, and user friendly.
Which to pick?
There’s a time and place for all of these favorites of mine. If a blush palette is what you’re searching for, ONE/SIZE Cheek Clapper is one of the best in prograde beauty. It’s the perfect travel companion, serving up multiple cheek looks in one convenient package. The shade range is more limited, though. But, the six color stories available are beautiful. With that being said, if you’re searching for a specific shade of blush, an individual cream or powder like ROSE INC Blush Divine or NARS Blush may suit your collection better.

Milabu Beauty Method: Three applications for three looks with Cheek Clapper blush palette, but this is my favorite.
Patrick Starrr gives three different application for three different cheek looks on the Cheek Clapper product page. From a low impact wash of color to a high impact pop, this blush palette can do it all. But, my favorite is a medium impact look. I love a vivid cheek and this application is perfect for a little oomph in my everyday makeup look.
- Cream. Dab the cream blush onto your cheeks using a dense brush. I love applying my cream blush with the IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Brush ($49). The cream is pigmented, so start light-handed and build up to your desired intensity. Though, it is forgiving and blends easily if you apply too much!
- Matte powder. Using the same brush, tap a some of the matte powder blush over top. This gives the most beautiful airbrushed finish to cheeks.
- Cheek topper. Or, as ONE/SIZE calls it: the hyper sheen. This is the perfect blush topper. I focus this on the tops of my cheekbones to give that extra pop. But, it is beautiful dusted over the entire cheek, too. You can use the same brush, or a smaller highlight brush like this one from IT Cosmetics ($22.50).
Of course, there’s so many ways you can wear Cheek Clapper! You can wear one of the formulas on their own, layer just the powders, or layer the cream and the sheen. What’s your favorite way to wear this blush palette?
