I knew I had to try this out as it seems like it could even be a dupe for the cult favorite Glossier Brow Flick. And, boy, NYX did not let me down. This brow pen packs a punch with its long wearing formula that has insane pigment. Promises vs. Performance: This brow pen is super pigmented!

As stated on NYXcosmetics.com, “stay snatched!” This brow pen is said to give you a lifted brow look. It features a flexible micro brush tip that makes it easy to draw thin or thick lines that look like real hairs. Lift & Snatch! comes in 10 shades that are buildable so that you can achieve a natural look, bold brow, or anything in between. NYX claims this brow pen has up to 16 hours of wear that is smudgeproof and transfer resistant.

Before applying directly to my brows, I drew some practice hairs on the back of my hand. And, wow! This brow pen is super pigmented, which can be a good thing and also a bad thing. For me, I personally like my brow products a bit less pigmented as I feel that gives me a bit more control. But those with darker hair may really like the pigment Lift & Snatch gives off. Just be mindful when applying this pen and use a light hand!

The brush tip does allow for a precise application that draws strokes that really do look just like hairs. I was able to get the bold, feathery brows that I hoped for. Now, NYX claims up to 16 hours of wear and they did not disappoint. I don’t know if it was just this product or a combination of it and a brow gel, but my brows did.not.budge. They stayed looking feathery and full all day long with no smudging, transferring, or fading. Now, that’s what I’m looking for!

How It Compares: NYX Lift and Snatch is where it’s at.

This brow pen has incredible pigment. Using even the lightest pressure, you immediately get color payoff that lasts all day. The flexible brush tip is tiny, allowing you to draw thin (or thick) hairlike strokes. You can easily fill in super sparse areas or create a bold brow by changing how much pressure you apply. Now, I’m not going to tell you this product is the easiest thing ever to apply, because it’s not. It definitely has a learning curve and takes some time to get used to. But, don’t give up: the results are worth it!

NYX Lift & Snatch vs Glossier Brow Flick

The widely accepted industry standard brow pen is Glossier Brow Flick. Brow Flick is one of the easiest to use brow pens thanks to its flexible brush tip and buildable pigment. It’s perfect for filling in sparse spots, defining your arch, or extending the tail of your brows with hairlike strokes. It does only come in three shades, but they’re versatile and work with a range of brow hair colors.

Milabu Beauty Method: Get microbladed brows at home with NYX Lift and Snatch.

1. First, comb your brows upwards with a spoolie brush. For this look, we want our brows full and volumized!
2. Begin at the bottom of the front of your brow. To get the most natural hairlike strokes, draw vertically using an upward flicking motion.
3. Repeat the same flicking motion through your entire brow, drawing in the direction of your hairs.
4. To keep brows lifted all day, set with a brow gel (and, this gives you a laminated look!). My favorite is Benefit 24-HR Brow Setter.

Tip: Brow pens definitely have a learning curve to them. I recommend practicing making hairlike strokes on the back of your hand. It’s a great way to see how much pressure to apply and get the motion down!
