Cream blush is the perfect companion for dry skin. It provides hydrating, natural color that effortlessly blends into the skin. Milk Lip and Cheek is a two-in-one cream that is convenient and easy to use. This cream product can be used on both lips and cheeks for a monochromatic look, separately for a pop of color, or mixed for a custom shade. I love how cream blushes look on my skin so I was excited to test this one out.

Our Rating Criteria

Promises vs. Performance: Milk Lip and Cheek is creamy and easy to apply.

Milk Makeup Lip and Cheek is cream tint product. These are a two-in-one cream blush and lip tint formulated with hydrating ingredients. Mango butter, avocado oil, and apricot oil work together to hydrate skin and help the formula seamlessly blend into the skin. According to Milk’s website, they are said to be buildable and blendable. Lip and Cheek comes in eight different shades, and is vegan, cruelty free, and paraben free.

Much like Milk’s bronzer stick, the formula of these are super creamy and they are super easy to blend. The more product you put on, the more color payoff you can get. They apply pretty easily, blending out seamlessly with a brush or fingers. While the intensity did fade some, my cheeks still had color on them after nearly twelve hours of wear.

How Milk Lip and Cheek Compares: It’s an enjoyable cream blush.

I really enjoyed using this blush! Milk Makeup Lip and Cheek has a super creamy formula, are really blendable, and easy to apply. The formula is buildable and relatively foolproof (if you first apply to the back of your hand instead of directly onto your cheeks). It layers really nicely, giving anywhere from a wash of color to a saturated cheek. I wouldn’t call this cream blush long lasting, as the color intensity does fade throughout the day. The mini size theses blushes come in is both a con and a pro. Con: not a ton of product for the price. Pro: easy to travel with.

What is my favorite cream blush, you might ask? ROSE INC Blush Divine is easily one of the best formulas I have ever tried and is one of my holy grails. The creamy formula easily blends into cheeks with fingers or a brush, providing a the most healthy, radiant flush of color. It never accentuates any imperfections, from dryness to texture and never settles into lines or pores. Blush Divine applies beautifully over any base, whether cream or powder, without disrupting the makeup underneath. For a complete list of my favorite cream blush formulas, check out our MILABU PICKS article, ‘The Best Cream Blushes You Need In Your Life.’

Milabu Beauty Method: Buildable, healthy color.

  1. First apply your base complexion products (primer, foundation, bronzer).
  2. Apply the blush to the back of your hand to warm up the product.
  3. Taking your fingers, a BeautyBlender, or a brush, apply the blush to your cheeks. I suggest applying more towards the outside versus directly on the apples of your cheeks.
  4. Blend upwards to create a lifted effect. For a cohesive look, swipe a bit of blush on the tip of your nose!
  5. If needed, apply more product to achieve a more bold color.
  6. Since it is a cream product, I recommend setting in place with a loose powder and/or setting spray. Here are my favorites: Laura Mercier loose powder and Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray.
