Milk Makeup Hydro Grip: Let’s talk setting spray.

Hemp infused, clean beauty brand Milk Makeup launched their Hydro Grip Set and Refresh Spray after receiving all the love for their Hydro Grip Primer. This is the second launch in the Hydro Grip lineup, which features skin-loving ingredients such as blue agave, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide. This setting spray has some big shoes to fill entering the industry up against cult favorites such as Urban Decay All Nighter and Hourglass Veil. Not to mention, its sister Hydro Grip primer. Is it just as worthy as these other products?

Promises vs. Performance: A hydrating face mist that helps makeup last?

The Milk Makeup Hydro Grip line is known for great ingredients and performance. This setting spray is made to both set and refresh makeup, keeping skin hydrated and makeup on all day long. It is supposed to lock makeup in place for up to 12 hours. This alcohol free formula claims to be breathable, giving skin a “glassy glow.” There’re some big claims with this setting spray. I mean, hydrating and extending the wear time of makeup? Let’s see how it performs.

I’ve been using Hydro Grip Setting Spray for quite some time now and I really enjoy it’s performance. It sets my makeup without giving my face a tight feeling that some sprays tend to do. The formula is nondrying, as they say, and it does help extend the wear time of makeup. To activate this product, don’t forget to shake it to mix the ingredients (you’ll see the green at the top while the rest is blue). I’m excited to have this product in my rotation for days where I just need a lightweight setting spray or want a more glowy finish.

How It Compares: A lightweight, dewy setting spray.

A hydrating setting spray that actually holds makeup on? Sign me up! Milk Makeup Hydro Grip lives up to its claims of being hydrating and locking makeup in place. This alcohol free setting spray is lightweight, breathable, and keeps skin glowing all day long. If you are looking for a good setting spray that is hydrating and you don’t need any oil control, Hydro Grip would is a good choice, as it still helps extend the wear of your makeup.
