Milani Powder controls oil and shine, looking flawless on skin.

If you love a good setting powder, you’ll enjoy this one from Milani. How much I enjoyed this powder surprised me. Though, I shouldn’t have been too surprised as Milani has really stepped up their game lately! They have several products that I love that really do perform great. And, they’re affordable! Let’s review Milani Conceal and Perfect Shine Proof Powder.

Promises vs. Performance: Blur and mattify skin.

Milani Conceal and Perfect is a lightweight powder that promises to keep shine at bay and create “complexion perfection.” It contains bamboo powder to absorb excess oil, while Lily extract works to minimize pores and keep skin fresh. Milani also claims this setting powder has a medium to buildable coverage.

Review Thoughts: Milani Conceal and Perfect Shine Proof Powder

The lightweight formula flawlessly blurred my skin everywhere I applied it. It controlled my shine throughout the day and had a nice natural, matte finish. I will say, the formula is on the drier side so I paired it with their Make It Last Setting Spray to add a bit more hydration back to my skin. But, overall, I really enjoyed this setting powder.

How It Compares: If you’re looking for a good setting powder, I’d give Milani Conceal and Perfect a go.

Milani has so many good products in their lineup. This setting powder is one of them. Conceal and Perfect weightlessly blurred my skin and controlled shine all day. The formula is on the drier side, so I would recommend pairing with a setting spray to add some hydration back in. Though, my oily skinned friends may love this about it!

While I did really enjoy this setting powder, I like the formula of L’Oreal True Match powde a bit more. It has a silkier texture that doesn’t feel as dry on the skin. Another pro? You’re much more likely to find a match with L’Oreal than Milani. L’Oreal boasts an impressive 24 shade range, while Milani only has 9.

“I consider L’Oréal True Match Super-Blendable Powder to be the standard drugstore pressed powder. It’s not cakey, comes in a ton believable shades and undertones, and looks flawless on the skin. This powder is a fine setter for your foundation and concealer, and it offers plenty of shine control without being super matte or dry. Even worn alone to lightly perfect the complexion, or layered for fuller coverage, Super-Blendable performs like a dream. The silky, breathable formula has more than nine thousand five star-reviews on Amazon.com. There, shoppers rave over its versatile uses and 34-shade range.”

Milabu Beauty Method: Blur skin with this Milani powder.

Set makeup after you have finished applying all cream products (foundation, concealer, blush, etc.)

  1. Swirl your brush in the compact. I enjoy using a fluffy brush like this one from Real Techniques ($9.99).
  2. Lightly tap off any excess product.
  3. Gently pat the powder into your skin. Avoid using a blending motion as this can disturb the product underneath.
  4. Toss the convenient compact in your purse for any touchups!
