Quick Rating Rundown
Promises vs. Performance: A blendable, easy to apply liquid blush.
Coming in six shades, Milani Cheek Kiss Liquid Blush is a multi use formula that can be used on lips and cheeks. It is an ultra blendable and buildable lightweight creamy formula. According to Milani, this blush is easy to apply (beginner cream blush users, this could be for you!). The formula features ingredients such as pomegranate, rose extract, and watermelon. Milani products are always cruelty free, but Cheek Kiss is also free of talc, parabens, and oils.
My Review Thoughts: Milani Cheek Kiss Liquid Blush
These gel cream liquid blushes are a steal at just $10.99. I have 3 shades in my collection: Nude Flush, Pink Flirt, and Rose Romance. They are stunning colors true to Milani’s descriptions and super pigmented. I actually like to mix Nude Flush and Pink Flirt to create my own shade. They apply and blend out really nicely, not looking patchy or disrupting any makeup underneath. I do like to top off Cheek Kiss with a powder blush, like Milani Rose Blush to finish my cheeks. I gotta say, I just love Milani cheek products. They wear beautifully all day with little to no fading. Who doesn’t love their cheek color lasting all day?!
Let’s Review How It Compares: Milani Cheek Kiss Liquid Blush Is Best From Drugstore
I loved the review process for Milani Cheek Kiss Liquid Blush! It is absolutely stunning on the cheeks, giving the perfect buildable wash of color. The formula is easy to apply and blend and wears beautifully. No patchiness, dryness, or fading with this product. Allure editors agree with me, this is a good one. There’s a shade for nearly everyone with the six shades ranging from nude to coral to wine. And, you can even create custom shades (my fave way to wear). At $10.99, you could grab all of these blushes and create endless custom shades. Makeup should be fun and there is no shortage of fun with this liquid blush!
Comparison to Top Performers
Most Iconic Liquid Blush
We have to compare this to a best selling, iconic liquid blush that has stayed viral on social media for the longest time. What blush is this? The always sold out Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush. To be honest, I don’t have many complaints about this liquid blush: its pigmented, long lasting, and comes in an array of beautiful colors. However, the high impact pigment can also be seen as a con. It takes the smallest, and I mean the smallest amount of product to fully color the cheeks. Because of this, I don’t consider it to be the most user friendly liquid blush.
Most User-Friendly Liquid Blush
One of my holy grail liquid blush formulas is Dew Blush from Saie Beauty. It’s not quite as pigmented, a little goes a long way, and it has a bit more playing time before it fully dries down as compared to the Rare Beauty Blush. It effortlessly achieves a beautiful cheek color that is much more “mistake-proof” and easier to use. It may not be the longest wearing, but it wears without looking patchy or settling into lines and pores. By my standards, Saie Beauty Dew Blush takes the cake for the best liquid blush due to its A+ application and performance.
Best Performing Liquid Blush
Charlotte Tilbury takes another win with her Matte Blush Wands. Despite it having a quick-dry formula, it doesn’t lift makeup underneath when applied. It has a soft matte, airbrushed finish that can easily be glowed up with the addition of her Pinkgasm Beauty Light Wand or Flawless Filter. And, bonus points, because this is an incredibly long lasting blush with no fading, looking patchy, or settling.
Milani Cheek Kiss Liquid Blush Dupe
Here’s a bit of a twist in this review, I have a Milani Cheek Kiss Liquid Blush dupe. It can get cheaper! A ‘dupe’ product that comes to mind would be Sheglam Color Bloom Matte Liquid Blush. This is a beautiful blush that applies easy and looks great on the cheeks. Plus, it comes in both shimmer and matte versions.
