Makeup that’s inspired by a coffee drink? Yes, please! Latte makeup is bronzy, glowy, warmed toned and soft. It’s a monochromatic look inspired by golden, bronze, brown tones. For the base, think fresh-faced, glass skin that looks softly blurred. We’ve rounded up our favorite products to achieve this viral latte makeup look so you don’t have to. And, don’t worry, we’ve got plenty of product options for you to make this look your own.
Let’s start by going through all the products, then we’ll dive into the makeup routine.
Face Base
The face base for latte makeup is airbrushed, blurred, fresh. In our opinion, it isn’t super dewy or glowy. Start with a lightweight blurring primer like caliray So Blown. Then, depending on how much coverage you want, use either a skin tint or foundation. Our faves for this look are the Maybelline Super Stay Skin Tint or the HAUS LABS Triclone Skin Tech Foundation. Concealer wise, Natasha Denona Hy-Glam is one we can’t stop using. It gives full coverage while still looking natural.
Complexion Enhancers
Blush, bronzer, highlight, oh my! Where to even start. We’ve been super into the underpainting technique lately, where you apply contour/bronzer, blush, and/or concealer before your face base. The Milk Makeup Sculpt Contour Stick is perfect for this. For powder bronzer, Kosas Sun Show has the perfect amount of warmth, and also looks stunning on the eyes.
There’s a few great blush options for the latte makeup look. If you want more soft matte, airbrushed, Dior Rosy Glow Blush in 020 Mahogany is great. For more glow, check out a blonzer (blush + bronzer + highlight in one). The bareMinerals Blonzer is beautiful, and so is Iconic London’s. As far as highlight goes, think dewy, not sparkly. Merit Day Glow in Citrine is absolutely stunning!
Eyes
For eyes and eyeshadow, we have a lot of options. There’s mini palettes like elf Bite Size (the ‘Truffles’ palette is perfect for latte eyes), or one and done cream shadows like Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerize. If you want something more sparkly, Hourglass Scattered Light is beautiful. There’s also easy-to-use eyeshadow sticks like IT Cosmetics Superhero No-Tug Eyeshadow Stick and Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks – the new matte shades especially would be perfect for this look!
For mascara, think wispy, fluttery long lashes. Brown mascara keeps things cohesive, while black would bring a little more oomph to the look. YSL Lash Clash is one of the best brown mascara formulas we’ve tried.

Lips
Keep the lips on the nude side. Start with a liner to fill in and define lips. The Make Up For Ever Artist Pencil in shade ‘Wherever Walnut’ makes the perfect base for any lip look. From there, add a balmy lipstick or your favorite gloss. Our favorites include the Kosas Wet Stick in shades ‘100 Degrees’ and ‘Heatwave,’ YSL Candy Glaze ‘#3’ or ‘#14,’ and the MERIT Shade Slick in ‘Taupe’ or ‘Falcon.’
Step-By-Step Latte Makeup Routine
First, apply your primer. While your primer is drying, let’s tackle our brows. If using a brow gel or wax, it’s better to apply it first for best results. Then, fill in and define with the product of your choosing. For latte makeup, the lit-from-within look is definitely the vibe, so do some underpainting! Apply contour, bronzer, and concealer first. Pro tip: you’ll need less foundation this way!
Next, we’ll tackle the eyes. Many of the products in this routine are multipurpose and perfect for creating the monochromatic latte look. Prime the eyes first if you’re prone to creasing, then start with your choice of a nude shadow. Eyeshadow sticks make a great first base to then apply a shimmer shadow or cream over top for an extra pop. With eyes, take it as natural or glam as you wish!
It’s time for our face base. You can apply two different ways: either over the entire face or blended into your underpainting. Using a foundation, we suggest doing the latter method to not cover up all your hard underpainting work. After you apply your base, set with powder if needed. Blush, bronzer, and highlight are next. This is where the fun blonzers come in! Top of your cheeks with just your blonzer, or do a combination of blush + bronzer + highlight. Try out a method like blush draping for that sunkissed look!
Last step is lips. Have some fun with the lip look! The combinations are endless with lip liner, lipsticks, and gloss to choose from.
