We have Conair and Tymo jumping in to create their version of cool air hair styler. Obviously, we have to test these out because they are starting to pick up some steam.
All three of these stylers – L’ange, Conair, and TYMO – are airflow hair stylers that curl using heat, then set the hair curls in place with cool air. All of these hair stylers curl and straighten hair. Let’s deep dive into each of these hair tools and see what they’re all about and if there actually is a true L’ange Le Duo dupe.

However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. We have found that the results can be a bit inconsistent when using the lower temperature settings (it maybe a quality issue). Additionally, we feel that the price of the styler is a bit steep for what you get in terms of features and performance. It walked away from the original airflow design (the effective one), and does not have fast heat transfer alloy incorporated into the tool. This a $100 tool that should provide those features.

That can be a bummer when you’re trying to get that sleek and shiny look. Oh, and the clip? It is a bit stiff, making it tricky to glide the hair tool through the hair. So please keep in mind that the results with the TYMO Airflow Styler can be a bit inconsistent. You might have to experiment a bit to figure out the right technique that work best for your hair. And one more thing, the swivel cord tends to get sticky, which can be a bit annoying when you’re trying to move the tool around smoothly.
