Makeup Revolution Conceal and Hydrate: I quite enjoyed this concealer.
Hydrating concealers are my favorite for my delicate, often dry under eye area. Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate concealer claims to hydrate while providing a medium to full coverage. Sign me up! I’m going to give you an honest performance review of how this concealer held up for a full day’s wear. I’m talking: how it applied, if it creased, how to set, and if there were any surprises (hint: there was one).

Promises vs. Performance: Makeup Revolution Conceal and Hydrate concealer promises hydrating coverage.
Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Concealer promises to do just that: conceal blemishes and dark circles while adding hydration. The creamy, lightweight formula claims a satin finish that won’t settle into fine lines. Containing hyaluronic acid, it is designed for drier skin and all day hydration. Makeup Revolution says it can be applied using fingers, a brush, or sponge, and works best with adding a setting powder or spray for longevity.
The large doe foot applicator on this concealer makes it super easy to apply. I used a brush to blend, and it blended in really easily. I was instantly met with brightened under eyes, and a solid medium to full coverage. Makeup Revolution hydrating concealer does recommend setting, so I used Becca Cosmetics Light Shifter Powder.
This is a concealer I enjoyed wearing! I love that it added a boost of hydration to my under eyes, ensuring they looked bright and awake all day long. The one thing I will say is that this needs a heavy duty setting powder to keep in place to ensure longevity. I had some transfer from my mascara, Lancome Idole, which is a mascara that I usually never have issues with leaving spots under my eyes. I will definitely use some sort of baking powder over top in the future.
How Makeup Revolution Conceal and Hydrate Concealer Compares:
This Makeup Revolution Conceal and Hydrate concealer brightened, hydrated and concealed my dark circles, just the way I like them! Instantly upon blending the concealer in, I was met with a medium to full coverage that truly did brighten. The wear was pretty great, with very little creasing, however, this concealer does requite a hefty setting powder. Because it is so hydrating, it can move around and mascara can transfer to your under eye area. I would recommend a powder you can bake with, like Coty Airspun. If you have super dry skin, I think you would really enjoy Conceal & Perfect.
With that being said, if you’re looking for a concealer that brightens, conceals, and doesn’t need as heavy duty of a setting powder, I’d recommend Maybelline Instant Age Rewind. This classic is one of the best at giving you that awake, “instant age rewind” look. I love how bright it makes my under eye and that it’s long lasting with any powder, not just after baking.
Milabu Beauty Method: Here’s how to bake under your eyes.
- Dot concealer under your eyes. Blend out using your fingertips or a brush.
- Taking a baking powder, like Coty Airspun, tap out product into the lid.
- Using a sponge, pick up the powder. I recommend a sponge made for powder, like this one from Real Techniques.
- Pat the product under your eyes. You should be able to see the powder sitting on top. Let sit about 5 minutes.
- Taking a small setting brush, dust away the excess powder.
