I quite enjoy this Laura Mercier concealer.
TJ Maxx has a huge makeup section that I can’t help but peruse every time I’m there. I’m always surprised when I find popular brands like Anastasia Beverly Hills, Urban Decay, and even Laura Mercier. On my most recent trip, I found Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Concealer in a shade darker than what I already own. I was super happy about this find, as the shade I already owned (0.5N) was a bit too light for my complexion. My hope was to mix the two shades for the perfect color match, as I do enjoy this concealer and wish I could wear it more.
Quick Rating Rundown

Promises vs. Performance: 12 hours of high performance wear is what Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Concealer claims.
Flawless Fusion from Laura Mercier is an ultra-longwear concealer. It promises a medium to full coverage, weightless wear that lasts all day. It seamlessly and flexibly conceals under eye darkness to blemishes, with a creaseproof, 12 hour wear. The formula is said to be lightweight and undetectable, thanks to the Blurring Powder Blend which diffuses light to smooth the look of fine lines while also creating a soft focus effect. Flawless Fusion promises a transfer, sweat, humiditity, and water resistant wear.
I was super excited to find a darker shade for a bargain at TJ Maxx because I do love this concealer, but can’t really wear it since the shade I first picked up was a bit off. Mixing .5N and 1.5W gives me the perfect neutral shade that I can use both under my eyes and on imperfections. The formula is creamy and blends out easily with any method of choice (fingers, brush, or sponge). I love how it brightens my under eye area while also providing a blurred, diffused coverage. However, it does oxidize after it has time to react with the warmth of your skin.
Like I said, this is a really beautiful concealer. I love the way it wears, as it both brightens and conceals anything I need it to. I will say, the formula can crease with a long wear (for me, this is over 10 hours). But, overall, I’m not mad about how this concealer wears. The lightweight formula makes it perfect for any skin type and makes it so that you can even wear it alone without foundation.
How It Compares: While I find the formula beautiful, it’s not the best concealer out there.
Flawless Fusion from Laura Mercier is a beautiful concealer. It provides a great coverage that is creaseproof. I love how easily it is to conceal my dark circles, yet this concealer doesn’t feel heavy. I will say, it can crease if your under eye area isn’t prepped properly and can feel/look a bit dry.
If you’re looking for a concealer that does it all, I’d check out NARS Radiant Creamy. For the same price, you get a more hydrating wear and buildable coverage that looks stunning no longer how long you wear it for.
Milabu Beauty Method: Flawlessly conceal under eyes all day long.
- Perfect your base complexion with primer and foundation (or tinted moisturizer if you’re a lightweight gal).
- Using the doe foot applicator, swipe concealer on any areas you need extra coverage. For me, under eyes are a must, as is the redness around my nose!
- Blend out using a brush. I find a sponge sheers out the formula more than I’d like. One of my favorite concealer brushes is the Liquid Touch Brush from Rare Beauty.
- Set with a translucent powder. Laura Mercier makes one of my favorites, Translucent Loose Powder.
