There’s no denying the influx of innovative hair straightening tools in recent years. As we delve deeper into the realm of sleek designs and cutting-edge technology, the L’ange brand brings forth its offering—the Lange Smooth-It 2-in-1 Digital Straightening Comb. But how does it fare against the titans of the industry? Let’s break it down in this Lange Smooth-It Straightening Comb review.
Quick Rating
Let’s Review Lange Smooth It Straightening Comb Features
The Lange Smooth-It Straightening Comb boasts a 2-in-1 mechanism that aims to make hair straightening both quick and seamless. With a clear emphasis on enhancing your hair’s natural shine, the comb integrates negative ion technology to ward off unwanted frizz, bringing forward a polished finish. This feature alone places it in the premium category of hair tools.
The design doesn’t just stop at functionality. L’ange seems to have put meticulous thought into the user experience. A soft-touch finish handle ensures a comfortable grip, while a protective heat shield ensures safety during styling sessions. Then there’s the professional-length 360° swivel cord—a godsend for anyone who’s battled with tangled cords. And if you’re a jet-setter, the dual voltage feature ensures worldwide usability. The device also has the thoughtful inclusion of a 60-minute auto shut-off for added safety.
It important to point out that this is a great technological move in heated brush technology. The old brush style tools have being replaced by the new comb style tools. The performance between these two styles is night and day.

My Review Points About Lange Smooth It Straightening Comb
When looking at Lange Smooth-It, several features immediately stand out. The new comb technology was a refreshing change from the typical heated brush straighteners. Its ceramic comb teeth, combined with the negative ion technology, promise a sleek finish—and they deliver, especially for those with thin hair. The digital controls are on a luxurious level, giving precise temperature settings that go up to a toasty 450°F. Plus, let’s admit it; the comb’s aesthetics are spot on—it looks fantastic! It makes me wanna buy it just from the way it looks. 🙂
However, the review changes from here on – Lange Smooth It Straightening Comb missed some very important features. For those with coarser hair types, a material like titanium would have expedited the straightening process. Furthermore, while the comb does a great job, it falls short of the TYMO Ring Plus straightening brush, particularly because of the lack of 3-D comb teeth—a game-changer in the heated comb technology. Lastly, it’s hard to shake off the feeling that L’ange might have taken a leaf or two out of TYMO’s design book.
How It Compares to Other Heated Combs:
TYMO Ring Plus
The TYMO Ring Plus, now in its second iteration, is the elevated standard in the room. Its nano titanium coating can deliver heat much quicker to the hair. When combined with the innovative 3-D comb teeth the performance of TYMO goes that much higher. It puts just enough tension without pulling on the hair while it gently straighten the hair. TYMO Ring Plus sets a high benchmark. While L’ange excels in aesthetics, TYMO has the performance edge.
Unfortunately, I wont hold back in this review, even the first version of TYMO, TYMO Ring, outperforms Lange Smooth It Straightening Comb. As mentioned above, the secret is the 3-D comb teeth. I hope Lange will incorporate those in their second version.
Amazon Copy Cats
Then there are the myriad of copies available on platforms like Amazon. While these might come at a tempting price point, the quality control leaves much to be desired. Don’t get me wrong, you could take a chance and have a great tools at much lower price.

Conclusion
The Lange Smooth-It Straightening Comb makes a robust case for itself with its innovative design and user-friendly features. It’s an elegant piece of technology, that looks so good you wanna buy it. However, for those seeking the pinnacle of performance, especially for more challenging hair types, there might be other alternatives to consider. Lange makes great hair tools, unfortunately they slightly missed the ball with this tool.
I do want to mention this review point, if TYMO Ring Heated brush did not exist, Lange Smooth it Straightening Comb would have been one of the best on the market. I think they can still be one of the best with few changes.
