Milk Makeup concealer is packed with skincare goodness.
I love that more and more brands are jumping on the skincare-infused makeup train. The idea of helping my skin while I wear makeup is something I love. It’s one of those extra benefits that often makes a product worth the splurge. Milk Makeup is a clean beauty brand that prides itself on good ingredient formulas with epic payoff. One of their latest launches is Future Fluid Concealer: a formula packed with skincare benefits, but also promises that epic payoff.
Promises vs. Performance: High performance meets skincare benefits.
From redness to breakouts, hyperpigmentation to dark circles, Milk Makeup Future Fluid Concealer will cover it all. This Milk Makeup concealer promises medium to full creaseproof coverage with a second-skin finish. The lightweight concealer covers, corrects, and hydrates, while helping improve skin overtime with something called Hyaluronic AI Plant Complex. Hyaluronic AI Plant Complex is a combination of 6 plant-powered ingredients: hydrating hyaluronic acid, soothing aloe vera and arnica, barrier-restoring Defensil and Revivyl, and brightening caffeine. In consumer studies, users stated this Milk Makeup concealer doesn’t look cakey, does not crease after 12 hours of wear, and feels comfortable on skin.
Out of all the Milk Makeup concealer formulas, Future Fluid is definitely my favorite! Use the handy pointed tip, flat doe applicator to precisely dab a bit of concealer where you need it. I recommend starting light, as this concealer is that true medium to full coverage, and it can start to look heavy if you apply too much. Milk says you can apply with the fingers, a brush, or a sponge, and I find that the fingers are the best for a fast application, and a brush helps give that diffused, airbrushed texture. It dries down to a tacky finish, but I do recommend setting with a loose powder to really lock it in place all day. I find that Future Fluid Concealer wears well for 6-8 hours with minimal settling, creasing, or fading. However, if your skin is drier/not prepped well, you may experience creasing and separating.
Here’s my secret.
I’ve found the secret to making this concealer really work is having properly prepped skin. Because it is that full coverage formula, it can look heavy, dry, cakey pretty easily. Start with a good eye cream for hydrated under eyes (Laneige Water Bank Eye Cream is a great daytime option). Another tip is to use your fingers to warm up the formula and help it melt in easier.
Quick Rating Rundown
:Milk Makeup Future Fluid All Over Concealer
How It Compares: The Future Fluid Milk Makeup concealer requires a bit of TLC.
For lightweight, full coverage (with a clean formula!), look to Milk Makeup Future Fluid Concealer. The formula is medium to full coverage, has lightweight feel, and natural finish. Although, for best results, this concealer is that it does require a bit of TLC and skin prep for the best wear. You’ll definitely want to make sure your under eyes are nice and hydrated, and make sure to apply in thin layers to avoid a heavy/cakey look. Future Fluid has a solid 6-8 hours of wear with minimal settling, creasing, or separating. I’m enjoying this concealer, and will definitely be incorporating it into my rotation!
That being said, there’s still just something about NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (rated ****4.3) that keeps it at the top as an industry standard and one of my holy grails. It’s been around for years and has claimed icon status. It provides radiance and lightweight coverage that never feels heavy or looks cakey. Radiant Creamy Concealer is one that never lets me down and works for so many different skin types. For more coverage, look to Kosas Revealer (rated ****4.2), a hydrating concealer with a built in eye cream.
