Fresh Sugar Lip Polish is the best lip exfoliator: Bye, bye chapped lips!
If you struggle with chapped lips, you know how difficult it is to keep our lips soft and smooth. And nobody likes the feeling of flaky, cracked lips, right? (Including your kissing partner.) That’s why exfoliating your lips is crucial if you want luscious lips. One of my favorite products for this is Fresh Sugar Lip Polish, a gentle exfoliator that buffs away those dry, flaky bits while locking in moisture. It’s ranked as one of the top scrubs in the cosmetics world, winning awards from Allure, Cosmopolitan, Insider, and Refinery29, to name a few. So does this lip scrub live up to its claims? Let’s dive into Fresh Sugar Lip Polish Review.
Promises vs. Performance: This lip polish nourishes chapped lips.
According to the website, Fresh Sugar Lip Polish claims to do a lot: exfoliate, nourish, prep, smooth, and soften lips. It contains brown sugar, a natural humectant that seals in moisture and gently buffs away dry, dull skin. Shea butter and jojoba oil work together to hydrate and nourish the skin after exfoliation. Fresh recommends use of their polish two to three times per week for best results, and as prep for any other lip product (looking at you, matte lipstick!).
My Review Thoughts: Fresh Sugar Lip Polish
I was so excited to test this product, as I have heard nothing but rave reviews! I suffer from chapped lips year round and am always looking for holy grail lip products to add to my routine. Following the steps that Fresh gave on the packing, I started by massaging a small amount of product to my dry lips. Before removing it, I let it sit for two minutes because they say it can also work as a lip mask for hydration, and my lips need all the hydration they can get! I used a damp washcloth to remove the polish, as Fresh recommends. Immediately after, my lips felt as hydrated and silky as promised. The flakiness I had been experiencing was gone, and my lips were actually smooth! Fresh Sugar Lip Polish does more than a lot. It seems to do it all!
Let’s Review How It Compares: Fresh Sugar Lip Polish is the holy grail lip exfoliant.
I’m not the only one scarred by scrubs forever thanks to a particularly gritty, apricot scrub that’ll remain nameless, right? Don’t worry! The Sugar Lip Polish Exfoliator from Fresh is gentle, yet effective. This lip scrub retails for $18 and is the best for the professional grade category. It can even be used as a lip mask to really let the goodies soak in and nourish your lips. If you’re like me and suffer from perpetually dry, chapped lips, this exfoliator plus the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask are a winning combination. You (and your lips) can thank me later!
Milabu Beauty Method: Ready for soft, smooth lips?
- Make sure the lip area is free of any product. I recommend either exfoliating at night or right before any makeup application to prep the lips.
- Using your finger, grab a small amount of product from the jar.
- Apply scrub directly to lips.
- I like to let the product sit for about 30 seconds before scrubbing to let the moisturizing ingredients really soak into my lips.
- After scrubbing, remove any excess product with a damp washcloth.
- Last, but not least:
