This Fenty Concealer Is Rihanna’s Favorite: But is it mine?
Inside Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty makeup line, there are a few products labelled as Rihanna’s Faves. These include her award winning Gloss Bomb, her Fenty Foundation, and her best selling Instant Retouch Setting Powder. But there’s another favorite: her Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Concealer. Available in 50 shades, this concealer is just as inclusive as the rest of her makeup line, but that’s not the only thing that makes it special. Let’s dive into Fenty Pro Filter Concealer Review.
Promises vs. Performance: Rihanna loves her Fenty concealer.
Pro Filt’r Fenty Concealer is one of Rihanna’s faves to hide “bags and blemishes or hangovers and bad decisions” and always be photo-ready. The formula is creamy, long wearing, creaseproof, and sweat resistant, promising not to settle into fine lines or pores. It offers medium to full coverage fo brightening under eyes, concealing spots, and reducing redness all while feeling comfortable and lightweight.
My Review Thought: Fenty Pro Filter Concealer
Despite its thicker consistency, it’s extremely easy to blend with a brush, sponge, or fingers. If you do let it sit for a bit, it will start to set and be a little tricker to blend, but nothing adding a tiny bit more product won’t help. A little goes a long way and overall it is buildable, but I do find it to be more of a light to medium coverage rather than the medium to full as claimed. Though the formula sets pretty well on its own, I still recommend setting with powder, especially under the eyes. For me, this product wears all day with minimal creasing and virtually no budging, staying true to its long wear claims.

Let’s Review How It Compares: Is Fenty pro filter concealer the best concealer?
Besides claims about coverage, the Fenty concealer lives up to its promises. It’s blendable, long lasting, and doesn’t crease. But it’s also got some tough competition. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (rated ****4.3) has so many benefits that make it an industry standard. It color corrects while hydrating skin. It covers dark circles with minimal product. And, it doesn’t crease or feel heavy on skin. With ingredients like vitamin E, grape seed, and magnolia bark extracts, it improves the look of skin over time. I could go on and on about this product (and I have here)!
While Fenty Beauty Concealer is beautiful, you just can’t beat the added hydration in the NARS formula. Radiant Creamy isn’t only the best concealer for dry skin: in all of professional grade beauty, I consider it to be the standard liquid concealer. Though, I gotta give Fenty props for their inclusivity. Many of their products feature huge shade ranges, including this concealer that comes in 50 shades! If NARS doesn’t have a match for you, this one should.
Milabu Beauty Method: How I applied the Fenty Concealer for bright and covered under eyes.
If you’re looking to test this concealer, here’s how I applied it for glowing under eyes. This concealer sets quite fast, so I recommend applying and blending one eye at a time.
- Use the flat doe foot applicator to apply the product to your inner corner, bringing the product down your face. A little goes a long way, so just a few swipes will do.
- Use a concealer brush to extend the product across the lower lash line and down your face, covering the entire under eye area.
- To make sure it’s flawlessly blended into the rest of your face base, stipple a foundation brush over top.
- In my opinion, this concealer doesn’t need to be set. However, if you want to be sure this product won’t budge, use a fluffy face brush to dab a bit of setting powder over your under eyes.
Tip: You can also use this concealer to brighten the rest of your face. Apply to your chin, forehead, or around your nose to add some extra luminosity.
