Finally, a true Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter Dupe is here.
Charlotte Tilbury’s iconic complexion booster wand, Flawless Filter, has been viral for quite some time now. It’s no surprise there is finally a true dupe on the market. Meet elf Halo Liquid Glow Filter. From the packaging to the performance, these two are nearly identical. But, is one better than the other? elf may just out perform Charlotte Tilbury. Let’s discuss.
Promises vs. Performance: Glowy, glass skin unlocked with Halo Glow Liquid Filter.
elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter is a multi-purpose “glow booster.” It can be worn alone, over/under makeup, mixed with foundation, or as a highlighter for an instant glowy, skincare boost. The liquid filter is infused with hyaluronic acid, squalane, and finely milled powders for a soft-focus, glowy effect on skin. Instantly, skin looks healthy and more radiant.
The elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter is easy to apply thanks to its giant doe foot applicator. I prefer to blend the product into my skin using a beauty sponge to ensure even application. On its own, Halo Glow Liquid Filter has a beautiful radiant effect, giving sheer to light coverage that helps even out skin tone. I will say, it can exaggerate texture, lines, and bumps, but that is simply the nature of these kinds of products. It’s also not the longest wearing, nor does it contribute to extending makeup wear time. If anything, if contributes to makeup breaking apart and wearing off quicker because it is so radiant. For a makeup look you need to last all day, I wouldn’t recommend wearing this as a base, but rather as a highlighter just on the high points of your face.

How It Compares: elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter is a true dupe.
On first glance, it’s pretty easy to figure out what product elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter is a dupe of. Yep, it’s the iconic Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter. From the packaging (glass bottle + giant doe foot applicator) to the performance, the two are nearly identical. In my opinion, elf’s version is a bit better. It doesn’t exaggerate my lines, pores, or texture quite as much, and it has better longevity.

From the glass bottle packaging and giant doe foot applicator, to its finish and performance, the two liquid highlighters are nearly identical.
