Dominique Cosmetics Concealer is phenomenal.
I love a good indie makeup brand. A lot of times they have a product they created to fill a gap in the industry, and that’s exactly what Dominique Cosmetics did with Wide Awake Full Coverage Concealer. This Dominique Cosmetics concealer is unique because it features the first ever de-puffing metal applicator, meant to help soothe tired eyes. I’ve got to say, I love the innovation and it doesn’t hurt that the concealer formula itself is bomb, too.
Promises vs. Performance: Is the applicator gimmicky or innovative?
Dominique Cosmetics concealer features the first ever de-puffing cooling wand that helps awaken tired eyes. The metal tip applicator is designed not only to de-puff, but also pick up the perfect amount of concealer for application to avoid cakiness. Wide Awake Full Coverage Concealer promises a natural, hydrated, radiant finish for an instant bright-eyed look. The formula is infused with caffeine to boost circulation and minimize the appearance of dark circles plus antioxidants and vitamin E to protect against environmental stressors. Wide Awake concealer boasts medium to full coverage and a long wear.
I’ve been playing with this concealer for some time now and I quite enjoy it. The metal tip applicator is really unique, and I love that Christen, the founder of Dominique Cosmetics, found a gap in the concealer industry and really did do something innovative and new. The applicator is a metal tip that helps awaken tired eyes, cooling and de-puffing. Plus, I love the addition of skincare benefits that work like a mini eye cream to reduce the appearance of dark circles.
Wide Awake Concealer applies easily, blending effortless with the fingers or a brush. It gives a solid medium coverage that conceals dark circles, blemishes, redness, and everything in between. I love the brightened, lifted effect it gives my under eyes. And the best part? It has a crease resistant wear that comes along with minimal settling. I will say, it doesn’t have a crazy 8+ hour wear, but it does wear beautifully for at least 6 hours, which I’m happy with.
Dominique Cosmetics concealer has an overall rating of 3.9. If price + value wasn’t factored in, this product has a performance rating of 4.4.

How It Compares: How does the Dominique Cosmetics concealer compare to my other favorites?
I gotta say, this Dominique Cosmetics concealer might be an up & coming newbie, but it holds its own against other favorites. It provides a solid medium to full coverage that resists creasing, settling, and fading. While it isn’t as long wearing as some of my other holy grails like Huda Beauty #FauxFilter (rated ****4.4) or Lancome Teint Idole (rated ****4.4), there’s just something about this concealer that I love. It has a beautiful application, texture, and wear that looks like skin, yet conceals what I want hidden.
There’s still just something about the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (rated ****4.3) that keeps it at the top as an industry standard. It’s been around for years and has claimed icon status. It provides radiance and lightweight coverage that never feels heavy or cakey. Radiant Creamy Concealer is one that never lets me down and works for so many different skin types. For more coverage still with a radiant finish, look to Kosas Revealer (rated ****4.2), a hydrating concealer with a built in eye cream.
