Dior Forever Skin Correct is one of the best concealers in luxury beauty.

Dior is a brand ready to bring luxe to every part of our lives. High fashion frocks, timeless fragrances, iconic makeup, sumptuous skincare. They even deal in children‘s and home goods. These gorgeous earthenware mugs would only set us back $400.

But some of the more accessible, relatively speaking, Dior products are also my favorites. These include their high end beauty products. I might not reach for designer coffee cups in the morning, but a swipe of Dior lip balm feels so luxurious. Dior Addict Lip Glow in Rosewood is one of my top picks.

And when I have occasional tired eyes or spots to correct, Dior has a fancy little solution for it. That is Forever Skin Correct, a luxurious, full coverage concealer. This wonder formula is so concentrated that a tiny amount of product hides dark under eye circles, acne, redness, and more. It offers plenty of correction on your minimal makeup days, and it pairs beautifully with foundation.

Here’s why this a great concealer for those who want to splurge.

Promises vs. Performance: Can Dior concealer provide full coverage that isn’t drying and stays put?

In a word, uh-huh! I agree with Dior’s website claims of full coverage, hydration, and long wear potential from their Forever Skin Correct. Also true to the brand’s promises, this product is versatile. It easily tackles those pesky dark circles plaguing most adult humans. It just as easily covers bumps and redness with a tiny tap of the doe foot applicator. A heavy hand and layering of the product is not needed here, friends. This is potent, concentrated stuff. And, you’re sure to find a shade match with its inclusive, 30 shade range.

What makes it so luxurious is the finish and performance. I applied Forever Skin Correct beneath my eyes and then I dotted a little more onto some acne spots on my cheeks. The creamy liquid delivered great coverage with a radiant, natural finish. It went on smoothly and a brush blended it out beautifully. At the end of a long day, my under eye area was clean and even. Minimal creasing, fading, or smudging of my eye makeup into the concealer, even though the formula felt moisturizing on my skin.

My only issue with this concealer (perhaps truly due to Dior’s Dreamskin Skin Perfecter primer) was that it looked deeper in shade when worn on top of the Dior primer. This made for a slightly spotty finish around my chin. If you prefer to use primer, especially this particular one, consider your shades of concealer and foundation carefully and be ready to blend. It will be worth it, as there are several great benefits to be had of the Dreamskin primer (can we talk about the glass skin look it gives? Gorgeous!).

Our Rating Criteria

How It Compares: The best under eye concealer if you don’t mind a splurge.

At $36 for 0.37 ounces, Dior Forever Skin Correct is a beauty must (if you consider price/oz). But it’s one worth considering if you want a full coverage concealer with high performance and a high end look and feel. Creamy, natural, and radiant. It resists creasing and caking and its hydrating skincare properties promote healthy moisture in the sensitive under eye area. With a wide and loyal following of wearers who can’t go without its potent coverage, even when worn in the sheerest amount, this is the standard product of its kind for the price.

A peek at Sephora.com reveals the popularity of this concealer among thousands of happy customers. At least 74,000 shoppers have it on their “Loves” list, and 92% of purchasers would recommend this product. Count me with them.

Now, if you don’t need quite as much coverage and want something slightly less expensive that’s lightweight and isn’t drying, check out NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (rated ****4.3). This alcohol free, waterproof formula is a bestseller and Allure Best of Beauty Reader’s Choice Award winner. While Dior Forever Skin Correct has more concentrated coverage, I love this product’s natural finish and it layers nicely when you need a little extra.

For a great drugstore performer that competes with higher end brands, look for Maybelline Instant Age Rewind® Eraser Multi-Use Concealer (rated ****4.1). For less than $10, this award winner and fan favorite easily takes care of darkness and spots, while being kind to the skin with goji berry and peptide ingredients.

Milabu Beauty Method: Flawless full coverage.

Here is my preferred method of applying Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer, in three easy steps.

  1. Apply. Use the doe foot applicator to place Forever Skin Correct Concealer under your eyes, swiping it just along the darkest parts of your hollows. Then, use the applicator to dot tiny amounts of the product onto any blemishes and in any areas of redness, like around the nose.
  2. Blend. I prefer a brush for blending this concealer. It helps achieve a flawless look with minimal product. Using the brush, sweep the concealer gently beneath the eyes, using small strokes to spread it where you want correction. Move the brush in an upward direction to guide the concealer slightly beyond your outer and inner eye corners for a bright and lifted appearance.
  3. Set. I like to top Forever Skin Correct Concealer with Dior BACKSTAGE Powder-No-Powder. A fluffy brush application works well. Swirl your powder brush into the product and tap lightly. Then, apply the powder where you’ve placed concealer. Sweep the brush gently beneath your eyes, onto your T-zone, and around your nose, and dab it onto blemishes.

Tip: I often reach for this concealer brush by Rare Beauty, which is a steal at $16 for how good it is. Super soft and densely packed with synthetic bristles, it blends beautifully for smooth, never streaky, coverage. The unique shape makes it easy to work concealer around the corners of the eyes and nose. For lighter coverage than what a brush gives, just dab your fingers into the concealer to blend.
