Diorshow Brow Styler: Is it worth it’s luxury pricing?
I’m very critical when it comes to luxury beauty products. Because of their higher price tag, their performance should match. At $31, Diorshow Brow Styler is not a steal, but a splurge. Does it have good pigment? Is it long wearing? Does the pencil break with the slightest amount of pressure? I tried out the Dior Brow Styler so you don’t have to. But, fair warning: you may want it after reading this review because it is truly a stunning eyebrow pencil.
Quick Rating Rundown
Promises vs. Performance: Dior Brow Styler is a no fuss brow pencil.
Dior doesn’t have much to say about their Brow Styler. They make no longevity claims and don’t describe the formula. They simply state that this is an ultra fine precision brow pencil made for shaping to give “naturally full, defined brows.”
Now, we don’t have much to compare this brow pencil to, but let me tell you: there’s just something about it that I love. The ultra fine pencil is stiff, yet the formula is creamy. It glides on so smoothly and is truly a no fuss product. I feel like you can easily define the brows without worrying about depositing too much pigment. I find that the formula lasts pretty well and wears beautifully. My only con is that it is expensive.
I will say, I have tried this paired with Diorshow Pump ‘N’ Brow and don’t love them together. It didn’t help extend the wear of Brow Styler, but instead made my brows feel lifeless. I much prefer a clear brow gel such as Benefit Brow Setter over top to give my brows some life and volume.
How Dior Brow Styler Compares: It isn’t cheap, but it’s a good one in luxury beauty.
I hate to admit it: I love this $31 brow pencil. There’s just something about the formula that makes this a really stunning product. The pencil is stiff, yet it is creamy and doesn’t break easily. It applies like a dream, giving super precise hairlike strokes that look natural. You can easily achieve a natural or bold brow with this pencil. It has a beautiful, natural wear. I do wish I could get more uses out of this brow pencil for the price. I find I go through this product really quickly and have to repurchase more often than I’d like.
Milabu Beauty Method: Use this brow pencil for natural, defined brows.
- Using the spoolie brush, comb brows upward.
- Starting at the base of your brow, lightly draw hairstrokes in the direction of your brows. The more pressure you apply, the darker the pigment will deposit.
- Work your way to the tail of the brow using the same upwrard hairlike strokes.
- Top off your brows with a clear brow gel to ensure they stay put all day long. Benefit Brow Setter is my holy grail.
