Conair Cool Air Styler is different from L’ange Le Duo
Conair cool air styler was created as part of the new wave of culring irons. These are the cool air curling irons, where they use air to cool the hair off. The biggest promoter of this technology would have to be the L’ange Le Duo Styler. Conair created their own version with a very different aerodynamic technology. Let’s see how these are different and what kind of results each tool produces.

So say hello to those salon-worthy locks you’ve been dreaming of, and let the InfinitiPRO by Conair Cool Air Styler be your trusty sidekick on your hair adventures.
What is the advantage for this cool air styler?
Cooling technology…
The cooling technology integrated into the Conair Cool Air Styler plays a crucial role in extending the lifespan of hair curls. The air flow is strategically placed on the base of the styler to facilitate rapid cooling of the hair strands as they are being styled. After the hot plates are ran over the hair, the cooling system allows fresh air to circulate and effectively cool down the curls. This cooling process helps to set the shape of the curls and lock them in place, promoting longer-lasting results.
Safety…
Furthermore, by reducing the amount of residual heat on the hair, the cool air system help to minimize the risk of heat damage. It helps the heat dissipate quickly out of the hair. This feature is particularly beneficial for individuals who desire curls that stay bouncy, defined, and frizz-free throughout the day by locking in the moisture in the hair quickly.
Dual function using a clip…
But wait, there’s more! The InfinitiPRO by Conair Cool Air Styler has an additional trick up its sleeve. Not only does it work wonders for creating curls, but it also doubles as a hair straightener. That’s right, folks, you get the best of both worlds! This styler comes with flat plates that can effortlessly transform your waves and curls into sleek and straight perfection. And here’s the cherry on top: it has a unique clip that clamps the hair for you, eliminating the hassle of manually gripping the hair strands like traditional flat irons. This nifty feature takes the confusion out of styling and makes your hair curling and straightening routine simpler.
Concern…
Now, let’s dive into the nitty-gritty of the heating materials used in this styler. The Conair cool air styler decided to go with quarts ceramic plates to work its magic on your hair. Don’t get me wrong, ceramic is a traditional choice, but it’s worth noting that it transfers heat at a slightly slower rate compared to other materials like titanium alloy, 24k gold alloy, or even copper alloy. So, let’s go through the process quickly: when you use the Conair tool, your hair comes into contact with the heated plates for about a second. To style your hair, you’ll need to glide the tool from roots to ends. With these factors in mind, it’s worth considering whether the right materials were chosen for this tool. Typically, a more effective flat iron would incorporate titanium plates because they transfer heat faster, giving you the speed and efficiency required for this situation.
My thoughts on this styler:
Pros:
The Conair InfinitiPRO Cool Air Styler stands out from the crowd due to its exceptional air flow feature, making it a one-of-a-kind between these curling tool. With its specially designed cool air flow, this styler allows users to effectively set their hairstyles, ensuring longer-lasting results. The sufficient air flow not only helps to lock in the desired style but also adds an extra level of volume and bounce. Additionally, the styler’s smooth plates effortlessly glide through the hair, giving it a sleek and polished finish. However, the results can be further improved using a faster heat transfer alloy like titanium. Although it offers only three heat settings and the plates may not open wide enough for larger hair sections. If you’re looking for a tool that delivers impressive styling results with a focus on effective air flow, this styler is a top contender to consider.
IMO this is probably the best Dupe for L’ange Le Duo.
Cons:
As mentioned above, the choice of material can be improved. Per our tests and comparisons, the gliding tools that use titanium plates tend to provide more shine and less frizz in the hair.
How To Use Conair Cool Air Styler
This Tool can be used like any typical Curling Iron. You can Curl your hair or you can straighten your hair.
To curl you hair…
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you create those beautiful curls:
- Get ready: Pick up the tool and gently squeeze the clip to open the plates.
- Section your hair: Take a 1″ section of hair, starting near the roots. For shoulder-length hair or longer, consider starting the curl from the mid-shaft for some extra bounce.
- Position your hair: Place the sectioned hair towards the bottom of the plates, making sure it’s securely held in place.
- Twist and glide: Now it’s time for the fun part! Twist the tool in your preferred direction while smoothly gliding it down your hair. Remember, the more twists you make, the more defined your curls will be. For maximum effect, go all the way and give it a full 360-degree twist.
- Repeat and style: Repeat these steps for each section of your hair until you’ve curled your entire mane.
- Final touch: Once you’ve achieved your desired style, step back, and rock your gorgeous, curly hairdo with confidence. You’re ready to take on the world!
To straighten your hair…
- Prep your hair: Begin with clean, dry hair as a starting point for the styling process.
- Protect with heat protectant: Consider applying a heat protectant spray or serum to your hair, especially if using high heat (350°F or higher). This extra layer acts as a shield, minimizing heat damage and preventing hot spots.
- Section your hair: Divide your hair into manageable sections using clips or hair ties. Start from the bottom and work your way up, ensuring each section is separate and easy to work with.
- Adjust the heat setting: Set your flat iron to the appropriate temperature for your hair type. Lower temperatures are suitable for fine or damaged hair, while higher temperatures are required for thick or coarse hair.
- Style a section: Take a small section of hair, approximately 1-2 inches wide. Allow the styler to clamp the hair near the roots, ensuring a secure grip. Slowly glide the flat iron down towards the ends in a smooth and controlled motion.
- Repeat for each section: Continue this process for each section of hair, working systematically through the layers. Make sure to straighten each section completely before moving on to the next one.
By following these steps, you’ll achieve sleek, straight hair with the help of your flat iron. Remember to take care of your hair by using heat protectant and adjusting the heat setting according to your hair type for the best results.
Quick Rating Rundown
How It Compares To Other Cool Air Stylers
The market is buzzing with cool air stylers, and one of the early pioneers in this category was the heavily advertised L’ange Le Duo. This sparked a wave of interest, leading other brands to jump on the bandwagon and create their own versions or similar concept tools. Conair and TYMO are notable players that have entered the scene with their own cool air hair stylers, garnering increasing popularity. With these options gaining traction, it has become essential to put them to the test and see how they perform.
All three of these stylers—L’ange, Conair, and TYMO—fall into the category of cool air hair stylers that utilize heat to curl the hair and then use cool air to set the curls in place. Interestingly, they also offer the versatility of both curling and straightening the hair. How does Tymo Airflow Styler compare to other hair curlers?
Air Stylers and Curlers (i.e. using only air)
It’s no secret that consumers are well aware of the numerous philosophies and technologies when it comes to curling hair. However, a recent breakthrough in technology has taken the hair styling world by storm: the use of air alone to create stunning styles. Leading the charge is Dyson, who pioneered this innovative approach, inspiring many other brands to follow suit. This game-changing technology aims to minimize heat exposure and comes packed with a range of exceptional features.
If you’re concerned about heat damage and want to give your hair some extra TLC, air stylers are definitely the way to go. The market is now flooded with an array of tools from various brands, including the likes of Shark, Revlon, and even Dyson Airwrap Dupes. With so many options available, you’re sure to find the perfect air styler that suits your needs and helps you achieve the fabulous hairstyles you’ve always dreamed of.
Curling Irons and Flat Iron Technology
The legacy tools come in a form of heated barrels and flat plates. One big variable in these tools is the materials used to create the barrel. These materials are used to lock in moisture, shine control, and quickly set the hair style. Where these tools out perform all other tools is the speed. Nothing will produce the results as fast as heat based curling barrel.
This is where Tymo Airflow stylers and the like are trying to makeup advantages. Unfortunately, based on our experience, these tools need to go much further. There are many regular curling irons and flat irons that outperform al of these tools at a cheaper price point. There it definitely potential to this technology, but its not there yet.
Comparing to Curling Irons…
In my opinion, as a regular consumer, you don’t have to search far and wide to find a great hot curling iron. There’s no pressing need for fancy plating like titanium, copper, or gold that require additional technology to get awesome results. A trusty tourmaline ceramic curling iron will do the trick and then some. It inherently prioritizes safety as it evenly distributes heat, taking its time to transfer the heat slowly while you hold the curling iron on the hair for around 5 to 15 seconds. This thoughtful design ensures a safer and more even heat distribution for your styling needs.
Comparing to Flat Irons…
Where one should consider having better materials is the flat irons. When styling the user has about one second to transfer enough heat into the hair to form she new shape. This is where titanium plated tools are very popular. I do want to mention that some brands do use 24k Gold plated or copper alloy tools as well and they work very well.
It is worth to mention one advantage for novice users. All of these tymo and the like hair stylers make it easier to curl the hair. Since the clip claps the hair one does not have to think about that part of the process. It can be confusing trying to curl the hair using a flat iron – this feature does make it a lot easier to understand.
Check out some of the great options to consider before spending extra money on these cool air stylers.
