If you want choices, Colourpop Blush has them.
Are you a fan of the infamous Colourpop Super Shock Shadows? Well, you can wear them on your cheeks, too! Super Shock Blush has the same bouncy texture that feels like a cream, but applies and wears like a powder. The best part about this blush is the shade range. Super Shock Blush’s main claim to fame is having an impressive 27 colors to choose from, making it one of the biggest shade ranges at the drugstore! You’ll find a variety of finishes and hues from nude pink to red copper.
Promises vs. Performance: Super Shock Blush has a unique, bouncy texture.
Colourpop says you’ll “luv” Super Shock Blush for a few different reasons. First, it feels weightless on the skin. Second, it has a unique, bouncy texture that blends into skin effortlessly. Third, it’s long wearing color lasts on cheeks all day long. Super Shock Blush has the same loved creme to powder formula as the infamous Super Shock Shadows. If you’re familiar with those, you already know how easy this formula is to work with. But, best of all, this Colourpop Blush comes in 27 shades, ranging from pink, coral copper, hues spanning matte, satin, and shimmer finishes.
I love the shade range of this blush. The 27 shades work on most all skin tones and there’s a shade and finish combo for almost any look you’re going for. What else I love about Super Shock Blush is its unique texture – there’s really nothing else like it out there! Pressing your finger into the pot, you’ll feel a little “bounce.” It’s a unique “creme to powder” formula, as Colourpop calls it. It feels like a cream, but applies and wears like a powder. The formula blends effortlessly onto cheeks for buildable cheek color that isn’t patchy. While this isn’t the longest wearing blush at the drugstore, it does wear with minimal settling into pores or fine lines, without accentuating texture, and no major fading.
Quick Rating Rundown
How It Compares: What’s the best blush at the drugstore?
Let’s be honest, the best thing about this Colourpop blush is the shade range. With 27 shades of pinks, corals, and mauves to choose from, you’re sure to find a match. The pigmented formulas come in matte, satin, and shimmer finishes that flatter any skin tone and deliver any look. Super Shock Blush has a unique, bouncy texture that feels like a cream blush, but transforms to a powder. This isn’t the longest wearing formula on the market, but, for $8, it’s a solid option.
Now, for the longest wearing blush (and best overall) at the drugstore? That would be e.l.f. Primer-Infused Blush. Its soft texture is easy to apply, gliding over skin texture and blending effortlessly. The formula is buildable and has minimal settling into pores and lines. But, best of all, the primer-infused formula lends itself to nearly perfect 8+ hour wear.
However, there are a ton of great powder blushes at the drugstore. We here at Milabu Co. have put together a list of our favorites, for all your powder blush needs! Both Colourpop and e.l.f. made the list, plus a handful of other faves (have you ever tried Milani blushes? Gorgeous!). Did your favorite make the list? Check and see here.
