Quick Rating Rundown
Promises vs. Performance: You classic blush, but elevated.
A burst of color for the cheeks, this blush promises a natural, yet vibrant hue. Clinique Cheek Pop has buildable pigment and a silky smooth “stay-true” formula that swirls onto cheek bones effortlessly. It can easily be worn as a sheer wash of color or a bright pop. Coming in over 10 shades and in both natural and shimmer finishes, Clinique promises there’s a shade for every skin tone.
Clinique Cheek Pop is an easy, effortless powder blush that is simply stunning on the cheeks. I feel like this is a no frills, easy to use formula that is essentially fail proof. Perfect for those new to blush or experienced! The silky powder is buildable and smooth to apply, never exaggerating imperfections such as texture, pores, lines, or dryness. It is long wearing and keeps cheeks with a vibrant pop all day long. If you’re looking for a shade to get you started, my favorites are Topaz Pop, a shimmering peach, and and Nude Pop, the perfect nude with a natural finish. The shimmers are beautiful, not glittery, but almost a dewy formula.
How It Compares: Clinique Cheek Pop is perfect for blush that is “never too much.”
Clinique Pop Blush is the definition of easy blush. The silky powder is lightweight, smooth, and super easy to blend. It goes on as a soft wash of color, but can easily be built up to your desired intensity. No matter how much you layer, the powder builds flawlessly and never accentuates imperfections (no settling into pores or lines over here!). It wears well all day without fading or looking patchy. Even though this is just your standard blush, it performs and I reach for it continuously. Plus, who doesn’t love the cute flower detail this blush is pressed into?
How does it compare to the standard blush, NARS? Well, I’d say they’re pretty similar. Both are finely-milled textures that blend onto cheeks effortlessly and build easily. Neither is more long wearing than the other, nor will you have any imperfections exaggerated. But, when it comes to shade range and finishes, NARS takes the win. NARS Blush has 26 shades to choose from, with matte, shimmer, and sheer finishes.
