Burt’s Bees isn’t just for lip balm.

You probably know Burt’s Bees for their classic yellow tube of chapstick. Who remembers their Lip Shimmer balms? You know know, the ones with the slight minty tingle? I used to love those! But, I’ve branched out with Burt’s Bees and have tried some of their other makeup products. One I quite enjoy is their powder blush. From the natural hues to its easy to blend pigment, it’s one of the best natural option at the drugstore. Let’s dive into Burt’s Bees Blush Review.

Promises vs. Performance: Natural cheeks with Burt’s Bees Blush.

Burt’s Bees Blush is 100% natural, cruelty free, and formulated without parabens, phthalates, and synthetic fragrance. This mineral blush powder is dermatologist tested, making it safe for sensitive skin. It has a lightweight formula that blends evenly and easily for a natural luminous cheek look. The formula is infused with bamboo, honey, and vitamin E, which work to nourish skin for “beautifully radiant results.” Blush comes in 5 luminous shades for naturally radiant cheek color.

My Review Thoughts: Burt’s Bees Blush

The first thing I want to note in this review about Burt’s Bees Blush is the shade range. Online, I think the shades look stunning and versatile. But, they translate much differently in person. For example, I was expecting the shade ‘Toasted Cinnamon’ to be a brownish nude shade, but it was very orange in person – almost like a bronzer! ‘Shy Pink’ is your typical baby pink and ‘Bare Peach’ is more on the orange side than I prefer my peach blush to be.

I will say, the pigment and formula of this blush is really nice. It has a soft texture that is easy to blend and apply, just as promised. I don’t have any issue with this blush looking patchy or disrupting any makeup below when applied. It also wears with minimal setting, and doesn’t accentuate any skin texture. But when I wear Burt’s Bees Blush, I don’t get crazy long wear. I find it begins to fade after the 6 hour mark, sometimes sooner depending on if I’m sweating or touching my face a lot! This powder blush is nice, but it isn’t the #1 at the drugstore.

Tip: Try layering over a cream blush! It’ll give you a bit more oomph and help set the product below.

Our Rating Criteria

Let’s Review How It Compares: Burt’s Bees Blush is a high performing natural drugstore option.

If you’re a more natural makeup gal (in ingredients and looks), Burt’s Bees Blush would be my recommendation in this review. On top of being a 100% naturally formulated mineral blush, this blush is perfect for a natural cheek look. The lightweight powder has a soft texture that blends easily on top of any base makeup product. I wouldn’t reach for this on days I want a long lasting intense, vivid cheek color, but its great for everyday wear.

So, which blush is the best at the drugstore? An all-around stellar performer is e.l.f. Primer-Infused Blush. This blush has a soft, creamy powder texture that applies beautifully. It doesn’t apply patchy on top of tackier bases, and it has a much longer wear than most thanks to the primer-infused formula. Its performance is what makes this one of the best blushes at the drugstore.

Truthfully, there’s a ton of great powder blushes at the drugstore. We here at Milabu Co. have put together a list of our favorites, for all your powder blush needs! Both Burt’s Bees and e.l.f. made the list, plus a handful of other faves (have you ever tried Milani blushes? Gorgeous!). Did your favorite make the list? Check and see here.
