Quick Rating Rundown
Promises vs. Performance: So many great claims, will ABH Magic Touch Concealer do it all?
ABH Magic Touch Concealer promises to correct, brighten, blur, and conceal while being like a “second skin.” The buildable medium to full coverage concealer claims no caking or settling. ABH Magic Touch Concealer can be worn on its own or layered with any foundation to achieve an even complexion with brightened under eyes, concealed blemishes, and masked discoloration. Soft focus powders work to blur pores, fine lines and wrinkles, while plant based glycerin moisturizes and licorice root calms skin. The formula also contains amino acid coated pigments to help with immediate adhesion and flexible blending. ABH promises an easy to blend, comfortable texture that can be used to conceal, highlight, and color correct.
I really enjoy this concealer. It blended out super easily with a sponge and gives an instant coverage that looks stunning on the skin. As promised, it corrected, brightened, blurred, and concealed. It didn’t feel heavy on the skin and did have that second skin look ABH claimed. A little bit goes a long way which I always love so my concealer doesn’t have a chance to get that cakey, creased look.
A lot of times, at the end of the day, concealers look dry and heavy under my eyes. But, this one didn’t. It wasn’t exaggerating any of my fine lines; it didn’t crease, and it didn’t look cakey. My under eye area still looked bright and blurred. I loved that it didn’t oxidize on the blemishes and redness I used it on as well. I’d definitely recommend checking out this concealer if you’re looking for something new.
How It Compares: Could ABH Magic Touch Concealer be better than NARS Radiant Creamy?
It’s a close one for sure. NARS Radiant Creamy and ABH Magic Touch provide me with a beautiful wear that brightens, conceals, and blurs. With both, I get with instant, buildable medium to full coverage that sat really well on the skin. Both NARS and ABH formulas are lightweight and resistant to creasing, settling ,and caking. Honestly, they’re both stunning formulas. I will say, I do enjoy the texture of NARS a bit more, as it is creamier. The ABH concealer feels a bit drier, but even so it does still blend really easily.
So, what does it come down to? Both of these are beautiful products. Magic Touch comes in 25 shades while Radiant Creamy comes in 30 shades, and they retail for $29 and $31, respectively. There’s not any huge defining claims that make me recommend one over the other. I think both are worth looking out. If you’ve used NARS Radiant Creamy in the past and are in the market for a new concealer, I’d check out ABH Magic Touch.
